“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”
-Ecclesiastes 9:10
Life is a journey which no one knows the exact time, or day it will end. As we journey through life, we shouldn’t fold our hands and watch time and events pass us by without making the most of them. How well are you handling your career, business, relationships, children, Kingdom assignment and so on? Are you treating everything or everyone with levity? If you were to rate yourself on how you have been treating others, would you score yourself high or low?
Sometimes, things don’t happen the way we expect, but that shouldn’t deter us from living life the way God expects us to live it. Relationships we once thought would give us perpetual joy might suddenly turn sour, but it shouldn’t be a reason for us to become a shadow of who we ought to be. One thing is certain, we will come out victorious if we don’t allow challenges to define us.
Some may seem to be on a roller coaster in the journey of life, while another is busy wallowing in self-pity because they feel left behind; use no one’s journey as your yardstick! Keep hope alive and always give your best to everything in life.
Are you still waiting for someone’s validation before embarking on that project? Or perhaps you are awaiting cheerleaders to keep your passion burning? You might as well wait in vain! If you have God’s approval, why wait for man’s validation? Whatever you set out to do, be your number one fan.
There are times people won’t reciprocate your good deeds, but that shouldn’t stop you from showing kindness to others. Don’t allow anyone to make a ‘monster’ out of you.
Remember, there are no second chances for those in the grave. You have only one life to live, use it well to bless God and humanity; let your footprints make indelible marks in the sands of time. Above all, may God recognize your deeds and commend you for a job well done.
Love always,
