14 After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. 15 I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession. 16 And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted! 17 Go and walk through the land in every direction, for I am giving it to you.” Genesis 13:14-17 NLT
Abraham had a right as Lot’s uncle to make his choice of land before Lot, but he didn’t. He could have disagreed with Lot over his preference for the best portion of the land, yet he didn’t.
Humanly speaking, it seemed Lot had a head way, while Abraham’s journey was faced with uncertainties. However, God who sees all, knew Lot’s choice was temporary because he later lost all to fire.(Sodom and Gomorrah).
Amid what seemed like a loss to Abraham, God established a permanent covenant with him. He told him to look in all directions, and expand his scope of reasoning because He (God) was ready to bless him. God gave him a permanent blessing that his descendants are still enjoying till date.
Are you going through a similar challenge? Has someone cheated you or denied you of your right? Are you faced with uncertainties about life, career, marriage or business? Beloved, do not despair! God has you in mind. If only you can look up to Him; there is hope for you. Put your trust in the One who knows the end from the beginning, and you will be amazed at what He has reserved for you.
See beyond the pain or discomfort, and look into the endless possibilities ahead of you. You can take it, if you can see it!
